Internationally known artist and poet, Natalie Reed has led an extraordinary life, traveling to many fascinating places in the world and experiencing many adventures which she shares with you now, today, the present, in THE GIFT, this book of poetry.
Her former book, THE SEARCH, sets forth on her journey through many worlds, within and without, as she has explored many places, their philosophies, their art, music and dance. She studied dance of Bali with I Made Bandem before she went to Bali. She studied the art of France and its histories before she made films at the Louvre in Paris, at the Chateaux in the Loire Valley and of the Gothic Cathedrals in France, as well as the art and architecture of Italy and Spain including the Alhambra and the general life in Granada for educational inspiration for the art student. She continued these films at the Parthenon and Museum in Greece and in Egypt. She has also explored Japan, Cambodia and Java, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Russia, India, Yugoslavia and Mexico, where she worked on her advanced degree in art, focusing on the pre-Columbian artifacts.
Natalie began her studies seriously as a scholarship student at the Art Institute of Chicago during her secondary school years. She feels this time was of the greatest importance in her personal development, as she became acquainted with the works of the world's greatest artists and their techniques. There is even more she has achieved: murals in Africa and California, the National Poetry Hall of Fame...
She lives happily in Carlsbad, California with her small poodle, Jolie Esprit. |
